Volunteer Roles
Volunteers make the world go 'round, and that is certainly true for powerlifting.
You do *not* need to be a powerlifter to volunteer at a meet. You can be a proud parent or sibling, family member or friend, or just someone who wants to learn more about the sport.
These are some of the roles meet directors try to fill before a meet, whether it's a small local meet, provincials, nationals, or a world level event!
Equipment: Pick up, set up, tear down, return
Platform: Spotters and loaders, platform manager
Head table: Computer person, 2 scorekeepers, an attempt taker, someone for music & announcements
Referees: Referees need to go through a qualifying process to become a provincial referee. Here are some of their tasks: Head/Side Referee, Jury, Technical Controller
*more information about these roles will be updated as the website is under construction*
